Karl Vandenhuerk, et al. v. State of Alaska, Department of Corrections, et al.

IN THE SUPERIOR COURT FOR THE STATE OF ALASKA
THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT AT ANCHORAGE
Case No. 3AN-21-06183CI

If You Paid for a Local Call from an Inmate in the Custody of the Alaska Department of Corrections, a Class Action Lawsuit May Affect Your Rights.

On May 27, 2022, the Court certified two subclasses. Subclass 2 is defined as “all people who, at any time between June 1, 2018, and the present, paid more than 50 cents for a local call made by someone in custody of the State’s Department of Corrections.” If you received the Notice, DOC’s records indicate that you may be a member of Subclass 2.

If you are a Class Member, you must choose whether to stay in the Class or whether to exclude yourself.
